Beyond Coating:
Value-added repair and manufacturing services
Electro-Coatings backs up its Yes We Can spirit of customer helpfulness with services that add value to a
component both before and after the coating process. Our reputation for quality in metal coatings applies equally
to the repair and manufacturing services that support them.
- GRINDING AND MACHINING
Electro-Coatings is one of a handful of companies that performs CNC OD and ID grinding, along with a full complement of CNC centerless, thread and double disk grinding, bar straightening, honing, lapping and other machining services
- SURFACE REBUILDING AND RESTORATION
Worn or damaged metal surfaces can be restored to original tolerances using a variety of coating-based technologies, including hard chrome and electroless nickel
- SANDBLASTING
Electro-Coatings craftsmen use a high powered jet of air and a specialized abrasive (sand, aluminum oxide, aluminum zirconia or glass beads) to remove surface impurities, prepare parts for coating or leave a clean matte finish
- MAGNAFLUXING
This nondestructive technique is used to detect surface flaws in ferrous components, and is of special value in the inspection of roller shafts. Fine magnetic particles, applied to the component's surface, create a visual indication of a surface discontinuity
- RUBBER ROLLERS
We design, build and recondition machine rollers to customer specifications, with services that include rubber application and reconditioning, surface finishing, pattern grooving and balancing (static and dynamic)
- EMD LINER REMANUFACTURING
using a comprehensive eight-step process, we refurbish liner components for existing Electro Motive products. We also sell stock liners on an exchange or outright basis
Step one in utilizing the Electro-Coatings family of repair/manufacturing capabilities is a call to an Electro-Coatings
technical specialist. Their recommendations...developed with a team of application engineering experts...can help minimize the
number of hands a part passes through. The result is performance to specifications at the lowest possible unit cost.
