Electroplating

Electro-Coatings electroplating process such as hard chrome and sulfamate nickel is achieved by electrical current depositing a layer of material from and a solution to a conductive material. Electroplating is to archive desired properties such as abrasion and wear resistance, lubricity, corrosion resistance, ect. to material for optimum performance.

The process used by Electro-Coatings in electroplating is called electrodeposition. The part to receive the coating is the cathode and the anode, the part applying the coating, are submerged in a solution of electrolyte containing disolved metal salts. The anode and cathode are connected to an external power source of direct current. This results in the transfer coating for the solution to the part.
